On 15th of July, 2010 India stepped into another milestone by symbolizing its currency Rupee and got entry into première currency symbol club of US dollar, euro, British pound and Japanese yen. The Symbol is blend of Devanagri ‘Ra’ and Roman ‘R’. This Indian Rupee Symbol is among 3000 entries and Bombay IIT post-graduate D Udaya Kumar is the lucky champ, who bagged the designer award of the symbol.

Being resident of India, it is my proud privilege to represent our nations currency symbol in graphical format.
