Today blog is a established name in dot com world. People are utilizing it, becoming successful and calling themselves as a “Professional Blogger”.

Nowadays, a blogger doesn’t only post articles or engaged in comment discussions in his/her blog but, also engaged in different activities, like interviewing, attending or hosting seminars, managing marketing campaign for their blog, organizing team, etc.

Many blogger are there who has taken it as a profession and for that just take an example of ProBlogger’s Darren Rowse. From his own word (in bio), “My name is Darren Rowse and I’m a full time Blogger making a living from this new and dynamic medium from blogs like Digital Photography School and TwiTip – Twitter Tips.”

Like every organization who train their workforce with soft skills  for all their management needs to maximize the their throughput, every blogger should also train themselves with soft skills to become more professional. Just ge deep into definition of Soft Skills you will understand the need of soft skills,

Soft skills is a sociological term for a person’s “EQ” (Emotional Intelligence Quotient), which refers to the cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, friendliness, and optimism that mark us. Soft skills complement hard skills (part of a person’s IQ), which are the technical requirements of a job.

A person’s soft skill EQ can be an important part in the success of an organization. Organizations, particularly those dealing with customers face-to-face, are generally more successful if they train their staff to use these skills. Screening or training for personal habits or traits such as dependability and conscientiousness can yield significant return on investment for an organization. For this reason, soft skills are increasingly sought out by employers in addition to standard qualifications.

When I’m researching over K Alliance an elearning solution provider who organizes Soft Skills training for its client, I found out their Soft Skills training module covers extensively on personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, friendliness, and optimism which I think has same value for both manager and blogger because, a blogger is also a person and belong to the same society.

I think to become Pro-Blogger you need to focus on Soft Skills. What do you think?
